RDMOREU Posted October 3, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2004 We realize that Sint Maarten is not 'known' for rum cakes; but, are their any locations in Philipsburg that happen to sell them? Thanks for any help!
mandiecandie5 Posted October 3, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 3, 2004 Yes, I definately need to know this also! I love rum cake!
Bonnie Voyager Posted October 3, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 3, 2004 Every ship I've ever sailed on sold the rum cakes for almost the same price that they sell them for right at the Tortuga Rum Cake Factory at Grand Cayman! If you are cruising to St. Maartin you should be able to buy the cakes right onboard your ship :D
RDMOREU Posted October 3, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted October 3, 2004 We will be sailing on HAL's Westerdam. Does HAL carry rum cakes? (Also posted this on HAL board.)
Bonnie Voyager Posted October 4, 2004 #5 Share Posted October 4, 2004 I haven't sailed on HAL yet, but I'd be very surprised to find out they didn't carry the rum cakes in their gift shop! Most of the other cruiselines carry them. I have also seen the cakes on just about every Caribbean Island I've sailed to. Here is the link to the Tortuga Rum Cake Website. You can always order them online if you get really desperate! ;) http://www.tortugarums.com/
