First time cruise Star Princess Baja deck cabin B428

Hi all, this will be our first cruise ever and I was just wondering if anyone has stayed in this cabin before or even how is the baja deck compared to the other decks. Also, how do you get upgrades and what kind of price am I looking at if we did upgrade once on board and we didn't like the cabin.

I really want this cruise to be special with no problems.

Thanks

Baja 428 on Star Princess is a typical Princess balcony cabin. Your balcony is sized 9 ft. wide x 5 ft. deep and has full ceiling cover. You will overlook the larger balconies below on Caribe and Dolphin deck.

As to upgrading on board if you arrive and do not like your cabin, that is not an option on Princess. They do not sell at pier or onboard upgrades and typically, the Pursers Desk will have a sign saying that the sailing is full and no upgrades are available. Princess may automatically upgrade passengers before sailing if they are trying to sell out certain categories of accomodation but you cannot be guaranteed this upgrade offer will be available or made to you. You can choose to mark your booking as willing to accept upgrades if you like.

If you do not think you will like your cabin, pay for an upgrade now or before you sail, otherwise your options will be limited.

Your cabin is a Category BC balcony. You could upgrade to Category BB or BA and choose a cabin on Caribe deck. This will give you a larger balcony (9 ft. wide x 9 ft. deep) with ceiling cover over the first 5 ft. Only the balcony is larger on Caribe - the interior cabin dimensions remain the same on Caribe as compared to Baja, Aloha or Lido balcony cabins.

Hope this helps. Enjoy your cruise!
