Princess Club Port Hours

Can someone report on the kids club hours when in port for Princess? I am on the Caribbean Princess in June on the 9 day Eastern Caribbean itinerary and contemplating a short excursion without the kids and wondering if this is even possible. Thanks!

The Princess web site lists that the kids club is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on port days and we have found that pretty accurate. It does tend to adjust if you are getting to a port late, like after lunch, or leaving early. Then it will mirror your port hours.

We have left our son in the kids club and went on our excursion, he was not interested in going, more interested in staying on board and playing with friends. No problem, club was always open in port.

When are you sailing? (I apologize if I am having a brain fart and not remembering your name on the roll call).

  • 2 weeks later...

We just returned from a Princess cruise with our two girls. Our oldest (5yr old) stayed in the club all day on port days until 5pm. Be sure to remember that you have to let them know if your child will attend the club during port days before 8pm the night prior to the port day. It is then that they will ask you if they need to provide lunch. We only had one issue where the kids club opened at 8 but we were in port at 7 and had to wait until they opened to drop our daughter off. We had a shore excursion planned early that day as well. We did make it but it was a rush to get off the ship right after we were able to drop her off.

FYI, they will also take you child(ren) to dinner on formal nights if you need them to at no extra charge. We didn't use them on formal nights because we wanted to get photos taken with our kids dressed up but I thought that was a nice option for families that don't want to take their children to dinner on formal nights.
