SeattleCruiselover Posted May 5, 2008 #26 Share Posted May 5, 2008 Well, Golden Egg - you deserve a golden egg for all of those tidbits. Thanks to both of you Seattle folks for helping all of us "guests". Sounds like Ivars it is. Is it an easy walk to Ivars from Waterfront Marriott? Anything you suggest to order? We like food period! Not picky. Again, thanks! It's about .75 mile or so straight south on Alaskan Way, on the opposite side of the street. Not a bad walk at all, but take it slow when you are walking back....after eating. I am partial to their halibut. They are justifiably famous for their clam dishes, but I'm allergic and can't eat them.
slk230 Posted May 5, 2008 #27 Share Posted May 5, 2008 We cruised on the NCL Pearl last weekend and we were on board by noon and in our cabin by 1:30, bags showed up around 3pm. We thought that it would be great not to have to rush in the morning. We hope that we can take our bags over a little earlier and then take our time. I see with NCL the rooms are not ready as soon as they were with Princess. So we will explore on Friday and sleep a little later on Saturday and party later. Were you just in Alaska and if so, how was it? How were the temps?
