extra time in kauai

With the extra time in Kauai we would like to spend some time at the beach. Any beaches by the pier to walk to? Thanks

With the extra time in Kauai we would like to spend some time at the beach. Any beaches by the pier to walk to? Thanks

 

Kalapaki Beach, in front of the Marriott and immediately adjacent (walking distance) to the ship's pier at Nawiliwili.

 

Highly recommended as a sheltered beach experience, with surf lessons from the Kalapaki Beach Boys, and there's a Duke's location as well, right there overlooking the beach. Across the street from Duke's and the Marriott is a lot of shopping, as well.
