Michuck Posted October 4, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2004 I've got a black suit that I wear to work, but for our cruises, I change the plain black button to a very pretty black beaded one, and wear it with a black beaded top. Second formal nite, I wear the beaded top with a pair of fly-away pants....(they're described on another thread). On an informal nite, I can wear the black pants from the suit with a pretty blouse. Jane110 Posted October 5, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2004 Why not just keep the beaded button on all the time? If you wear a black suit to work, I'm sure one beaded button won't make too dressy for daytime. Just a thought.
JanetMarie Posted October 5, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 5, 2004 Sounds like you are a very fortunate lady with minimal packing. Good for you! For myself, I love, love, love to dress up each and every night of our cruises. ;)
Ghost Posted October 5, 2004 #4 Share Posted October 5, 2004 You've got the right idea - making the most looks out of the least amount you need to pack. More people need to follow your idea - would make packing so much easier for many! Kathy
marvholly Posted October 5, 2004 #5 Share Posted October 5, 2004 I do similar within my "black" group. I have a 2 pc dress for 1 nite, a black womans tux suit for the other and use the skirt and pants with other tops for other nites.
Trijntje Posted October 24, 2004 #6 Share Posted October 24, 2004 My husband has a black suit and not a tux. At formal nights hy wears it with a tux shirt and (we call it) a butterfly. (Holland). It's not because we live in the Netherlands, but because I could not find a good tux for him. And now he wears his "tux" and hy looks very smart in it.
