Does anybody know how close the golf course is to the port or tendering spot for the MOS. Is a walkable? If not what are the best transport options? Any suggestions for best thing to do there would also be very helpfull. Thanks

The golf course in Catalina is not within walking distance. Whenever we go, we rent a golf cart to get around the island. They are right across the street from the cruise pier and are reasonably priced. This allows you to see the island on your own and stop wherever you like along the way.

Avalon is at the mouth of a coastal canyon. The golf course is about 2-3 miles up the canyon. If you just want to see the course, rent a golf cart as suggested or a bicycle. If you plan to golf, a taxi is probably cheaper because the golf carts and bikes rent out by the hour.
