We are new cruisers setting sail in November and this may be a silly question but we have never had it explained to us. What does the number and letter signify? For example, 6A...6B...6C...6D. Like I said, it may be a silly question but we are just curious. Thanks!

When you search online for inside, window, balcony etc a number of different catagories come up with different prices. These catagories are #'s and the letter is the level of that catagory. Mid ship are higher letters, higher decks are higher letters. "A" being low.

Hello fellow Iowans!

1A - Inside cabin that has one upper and one lower bed

4A and up - inside cabins. The higher the letter, the higher the deck

6A and up - oceanview cabins. Higher the letter, the higher the deck

8A and up - Balcony cabins. Same as above for letter.

11- Suite

12- Higher suite (I think a penthouse)

There are also categories like 5A, 9A and so on that are forms of oceanviews and balconies.

All the A, B, C, etc... cabins are not the same for each type of cabin. It just means that it's the first deck that has that kind of cabins on it.

Basically the higher the letter the higher you are on the ship.

A is Riveria Deck or Deck 1 or Floor 1

B is Main Deck or second floor etc.

If you a letter like H or I, you are way high on top of the ship.
