Redskinshockey2002 Posted May 1, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 1, 2008 Has anyone done the Snuba in St. Thomas. We are going on Royal Caribbean's Adventure of the Sea in May and have booked this excursion through them! Is it safe, what should we expect? Any information or past experiences are greatly appreciated. Thanks Brian
Repsol Rod Posted May 12, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2008 I've done Snuba once before, although I don't remember where. Some place in the Carib. Anyway, I suspect you'll have a fantastic time. The guides will give you a briefing on the equipment and procedure and then you'll have a chance to become acclimated to the experience in waist high water. Once you're good to go, you and the guides will swim out to about 15' - 20' deep to do some frolicking. Good times! I'm planning to do this again on my upcoming sailing. Enjoy your trip. madndad Posted May 13, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 13, 2008 Did SNUBA this April in St. Thomas. I had been snokerling many times, but SNUBA beats it. I can see why people do SCUBA, the next step. My advise is to just be releaxed in your breathing the secert to the whole thing. It is cool to be able to go down 15' and lay on the bottom and just look around without worrying to go back up for some air. Be sure to bring one of those one-time underwater cameras. They will also take alot of pictures while you are in the water. ENJOY!!!!
