Hi Everyone

We have just booked our first ever cruise on Ventura. I am currently reading all the "newbie" threads so I don't ask really stupid questions!

Does anyone have some specific P & O "hints and tips" for new cruisers? I am sure I will become addicted to cruising just like the rest of you! Thanks very much.:)

hi cjc 23 i hadnt thought about a review but i think youll enjoy ventura as there are lots of things to do. the theatre is great the shows are great, the tamerind club puts on some great shows, havana the same, the service in the baytree was second to none.we tried the white room and the food and service were brilliant, although the £20.00per person cover charge we thought a little bit excessive.didnt try east but it looks great although the cover charge is the same as the white room.metropolis is a great place to relax and listen to live music.the casino is ok and joins onto the exchange bar, they do bingo here and quizes we thought the only draw back here was this is the bar where you can smoke and it does tend to get everywhere in the area.ramblas is another nice bar where you can get tapas(at a £2.50 charge)

we stayed in an inside cabin which was enough for us and it was very well apointed.we found the waterside and beach house the best places to eat at lunch time but they did get overcrowded from 12.30 onwards if you want a snack frankies does burgers and chicken burgers aswell as frankies pizzaria.

the pools are great. finaly the staff were perfect we were all treated like royalty.

Hi Bella 36. We too are on Ventura Med Legacies 14/9/08 and looking forward to it very much. I am new to the boards but not to P & O. I am having trouble negotiating my way around this site, but I'm sure it will get easier with practice. I've been trying to find the "Roll Call", but no luck so far.

We are off to Norway this coming Sunday (18th May) on Oceana, but will post a few "hints" when we return. We're taking a walkie talkie with us this time as it will help me locate my husband (if I want to!!).

I'm sure you will love cruising - what's not to love about it?

All for now
