Sailaway John Posted May 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 3, 2008 Hi there! Could anyone please let me know what is the cost per game of bingpo on PD and what is the norm for prizes, not including the big one at the end of the cruise.
LouLou28 Posted May 3, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 3, 2008 I think the prices of bingo are the same on the PD as on the PS - when we've sailed previously there were three prices $10, $20 & $30 (depending on how many games you played in each set with the $10 one being one game through to five games for the $30 price). The prizes depended on how many people played (so they tend to increase as the cruise progresses as if it is not won in so many calls the prize for the last bingo game jackpots each sea day). So it could be anything from $60-$80 for one of the early games, through to well over $10000 for the bingo call on the last day). Hope this helps - someone may have some different info direct from the PD or a more recent cruise.
sailawaysally Posted May 3, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 3, 2008 One thing you should be aware of is that you cannot tear your tickets and share them between friends etc. The $30 set is cheaper but it can't be shared. They tell you this every game but there always seems to be someone who has torn their set and they have to run back to the cashier to get another set, that's if the caller is feeling generous with time. Tassie Devils Posted May 3, 2008 #4 Share Posted May 3, 2008 Hello there! We got back yesterday from the Pacific Dawn, and yes, what LouLou says is absolutely right. The early games on the first day started around $300 - $400 prize and got really high on the last day. Jackpot went off at over $9000 to some guy who had one game!!! Lots of fun anyway, and by the end not only the showroom, but also the Dome was packed out with us all. Cheers, The Devils
Happiest when on Holidays Posted August 21, 2008 #5 Share Posted August 21, 2008 Is this played at the same time everyday and how long does it usually go for? Rae
Megagirl Posted August 21, 2008 #6 Share Posted August 21, 2008 Hi It's at 3.30 pm and I think it goes for about 1 hour. The final jackpot also depends on the length of the cruise. Last year when we missed a port due to large seas, we had an extra day at sea and therefore an extra game of bingo. Because the cruise was a long one (14 nights), the jackpot at the end was $14000.:) :) :) Jenny

aussiedisneyfan Posted August 21, 2008 #8 Share Posted August 21, 2008 You can sort of share the tickets, just don't rip them apart. We took turns at doing the dabbing.
