TEXASMUNK Posted May 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 3, 2008 Just read that RCI has changed their baby policy.... "Effective immediately there will be a new policy in effect for people traveling with infants and woman who are pregnant for all Royal Caribbean InternationalR, CelebrityR and Azamara sailings. Infants sailing on a cruise must be at least 6 months old as of the first day of the cruise/cruisetour. However, for Transatlantic, Transpacific, Hawaii, select South American cruises/cruisetours and other selected cruises/cruisetours, the infant (as of the first day of the cruise/cruisetour) must be at least 12 months old. Also, Azamara Cruises, Celebrity CruisesR and Royal Caribbean InternationalR cannot accept guests who will have entered their 24th week of pregnancy by the beginning of, or at any time during, the cruise or cruisetour. Seems like a pretty logical change. Why endanger an infant or sustain the negative press when they make a decision aimed solely at protecting an infant? The press had a field day with the family that was disembarked recently. Kudos to RCI.
