swimmom1 Posted May 5, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2008 hi all....just off the 3 night bahama trip (my third time on this ship but have cruised 6 other times also) and wanted to tell you about some of the updates and changes,,,We live in south fla so it is easy to hop on for a weekend. This time left the DH's and kids behind and went with my friend for her 50th bday. sign and sail card and room key are one and the same now only two seating times for dinner,,,,6:00 and 8:30 the dining room was EMPTY at all three dinners! We sat at a table for 8 and we were the only ones who were there. Our waiter who was wonderful had another table also and they only had 4 out of 8 come too, I did notice that many people were arriving very late some even at 7:00! And they were letting them in. Dress code was VERY relaxed even on formal night,,,anything goes I guess especally on the three night cruises, but there were people wearing shorts, t'shirts, baseball hats etc. during lifeboat drill we met in our assigned spots then were led to the actual muster station outside. We had a ball and cannot wait to go again! any questions, please ask! But now I have to unpack and got to sleep...I AM TIRED!! and yes, I came out ahead in the casino! :)
crusinpsychRN Posted May 5, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 5, 2008 What did you do in Nassau? This dress junk is real junk. I HATE to see people in restaurants in baseball caps. That's just rude and no class.
swimmom1 Posted May 5, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted May 5, 2008 i agree with you totally about the dress code! Both of us have been to nassau before and have stayed in Atlantis and also cable beach for vacations with our families Since it was her 50th birthday we went SHOPPING! She bought herself a beautiful saphire and diamond ring and earings on Bay Street that took a few hours to find, We also had lunch at the poop deck which we both loved We were back on the ship by three and did the trivia games and name the tunes stuff in the capers,,,hokey I know, but a lot of fun! CruizinMom2c Posted May 5, 2008 #4 Share Posted May 5, 2008 We are sailing her on a 4 day in Feb...I can't wait. We have been to Nassau before and loved it. They must of just changed the times...since our cruise last week was still 4 separate dining times...

swimmom1 Posted May 6, 2008 Author #8 Share Posted May 6, 2008 cabins were great for a cruise ship,,very clean and the beds were so comfortable! We had it decorated with the birthday package and it looked great. Definitely wear your suit, You'll get terrific pictures and it makes it feel like a special night. Don't worry about anyone else, Besides its about 50-50 people getting dressed, You'll have a great time!!!
CandyCruiser1106 Posted May 6, 2008 #9 Share Posted May 6, 2008 Swimmom, do you have pictures of the refurbished cabins? What about the entertainment (shows), do they have "Tribute to Beatles"? Thanks for your time!
mainer208 Posted May 6, 2008 #10 Share Posted May 6, 2008 We sailed the Fascination a year ago March on the 4-day to Key West and Calica. One of the bartenders told us that on the 3-day cruise the dining room is very quiet especially the night in Nassau. The day we had a late departure in Calica (10:00 p.m.) the dining room was empty - we had 6:15 seating. The buffet on deck after 7 was packed. Assume cruisers coming back from tours, etc.
