Bilyeu5 Posted May 21, 2008 Author #51 Share Posted May 21, 2008 Hi - thanks for your review! We will be on the 6/1 cruise. How was the boarding & disembarkation process in Seattle? Was it chaos or organized? What time did you go? Boarding was not good. The ship was late arriving from California and points south so they were still disembarking passengers when we arrived at 10am. Also, it was the first cruise of the Alaska season and the Seattle folks seemed a bit disorganized. Even so, we boarded before 1pm. There were still long lines at this time. I'm sure it will improve as the season goes on. Disembarking was much better. The ship was late clearing Customs. Our time was supposed to be 8:30am, but it ended up being an hour late. Once off, there were plenty of folks directing us to the luggage area and bags were easy to find.

minniemom Posted May 22, 2008 #55 Share Posted May 22, 2008 WE are on the June 1 Star too. Thinking about the 3 1/2 hour tour. Did you book ahead of time? Now question about boarding. We fly into Seattle early morning. With all our luggage, we wanted to go straight to the peer. Best way to get there with 7 people? Any suggestions? If we get there that early, will we be standing inline for hours? Except if we dont' get there early, what else do we do with all that luggage for 7 people??
