Fleas???

Recommended Posts

we have sand fleas in florida. they are fleas that live in the sand. They swarm at times and they get all over your ankles and feet and bite you.

(just like animal fleas)

Get some bug spray and take with you just incase. You can spray the bottom of your towel if you are laying in the sand, or you can spray your chair. Both times I've been to the bahamas (in the summer) they havent been an issue.

OK, we are going to Bahamas in July, and I've been reading in some posts about sea fleas or sand fleas??? Can someone explain what they are/do and whether they will be a problem in July? Thanks.

I was so worried about this before our last cruise. But by the time I got to the beaches we went to we had no issues what so ever. I would bring bug spray just incase though. Better safe than sorry lol
