Jarba Posted May 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2008 Thinking of booking an August cruise out of NY on the Miracle. Sailed on the Victory last year. How do the 2 ships compare? What would you recommend or not recommend about the Miracle?
lcpagejr Posted May 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 11, 2008 been on the Victory 2x and sailing Miracle next week. I'll post a review when I return. I have cruised sister ships of the Miracle (Spirit Class). I prefer the Spirit class....better layout, less crowded feeling because the bars, clubs, casino, general areas are spread over 2 floors vs just one on the Victory.Less passengers on Miracle and sister ships as well. You can't go wrong with either ship...Had a wonderful time on the Victory as well...
trock Posted May 11, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 11, 2008 I was on the Victory last year.. (This ship gets the most negative reviews) I will be on the Miracle this Saturday! I can tell you right now, without even being on the Miracle, that is blows away the Victory.. LOL Everything I have ever read about the Miracle is absolutely Positive! Enjoy your Cruise! cv322 Posted May 11, 2008 #6 Share Posted May 11, 2008 Book the Miracle, you won't regret it. I just got off on Friday (the May 1st sailing) and it was one of my favorite cruises ever! Beautiful ship, great crew! I wrote a review (in Member Reviews) today but it probably won't appear until Tuesday I'm guessing. Do it :D, you'll love it. I will be on the Miracle on June 2nd, and I have been waiting for a review. Thanks for writing one! I have been on the Victory twice out of NYC and I am looking forward to longer, warmer cruise. I enjoyed both cruises on the Victory, but from what I have read throughout the last year, the Miracle is a great ship.

motherofthree Posted May 12, 2008 #11 Share Posted May 12, 2008 You will not be disappointed....although you take a chance no matter when you cruise, just bear in mind, its hurricane season and when we went last August, hurricane dean came a barrelin in and we had to be diverted to 3 different ports, but it was our best cruise, the most fun, the best people and the crew outstanding...things couldnt have been better. Insel Posted May 12, 2008 #14 Share Posted May 12, 2008 We also liked the Miracle so much last year we booked again this year. :) Looking forward to the new itinerary next year. I can not think of one negative aspect of our cruise. There certainly is something to be said about carvival employees....we met some wonderful people from all over the world who worked on the ship and still keep in touch with our head server. wasiii Posted May 12, 2008 #15 Share Posted May 12, 2008 :D .....and I really want to go back on the Miracle. As you can see from my signature, I'm going on the Victory again June, 10. When I went on the Victory last time, it was exactly one month after I went on my Princess Alaska cruise. I think the problem that I had was that nothing could compare to the Alaska cruise, both the ship and the itinerary could not be beat IMHO. I like the value Carnival gives and that was a major factor in me picking the Miracle next. Having had such a great time on the Miracle, I decided to try the Victory again now having a Carnival cruise under my belt to compare it to. My girlfriend was really spoiled by Princess and she felt it was definitely a 'downgrade' on the Victory. I admit, she was right when comparing the Princess Alaska to Carnival Canada cruises, but having such a positive experience with my son last year on the Miracle, I wanted to go on the Victory again to see if I was just jaded from the previous cruise. Only 30 days till embarkation. Can't get here soon enough for me. Wish I lived in Florida so I could have my choice of ports to go out of more frequently. :D
