5 day cruise questions

This will probably sound like a really stupid question coming from and experianced cruiser but it's been awhile since I took a short(er) cruise (2003) and things have probably changed since then so here goes. :o My Mom and I are thinking about booking a 5 day Canada/New England on the Victory for this August :D just to fill the time between now and my cruise in October and both of our cruise in December (cause we can't wait that long to cruise again :o ). I was just wondering what the short(er) cruises are like. How many formal nights will there be (if any), will we have a past guest party, will there be a deck party and on what night, how many production shows will there be, will they have all the usual cruise activities? I'm sure I'll have more but that all I can think of at the moment.

There is one formal night all the activities and past guest party and a deck party i think the third night and the shows there was one every night but not a big production show maybe two or three not shore on that these were the things we had on my 5 day holiday cruise out of mobile .it should be the same or close to yours on the victory

Thanks!! :D I was hoping that there would be at least 1 formal night as they are my favourite nights on a cruise!! :D I also love going to the Deck Parties. Do they have the Carnival Colours game on the short(er) cruises? The Past Guest party is just an added bonus (free drinks - yay)!!

Yes you will get everything on the 5 day as you would a 7 day. Now I have heard conflicting stories on this, but Carnival had stopped the past guest party on 3/4 day cruises and the 5 day or longer ones you got it. I have heard they were doing them again on the 3/4 day. Couldn't swear to that but would be interested to know if that is true.

OK, now...On all Carnival cruises of less than five nights, there is no Past Guest party. That hasn't changed; they've never had PG parties on less than 5 nighters.

 

Your second night on board will be 'formal night', complete with the Captain's party and formal dinner.

 

As far as everything else, same as longer cruises - big production shows - I've always attended two on my five night cruises. Same daytime activities, etc.

I think the lines running off the page have something to do with screen size. I can always read everything on my lap top at home but on my smaller computer screen here at work, everything runs off the side of the page. Very annoying I know. :(

Any tips or hints for a 5 day cruise (in general or the Victory is paticular)? Thanks so much for your help everyone, you're all wonderful, I've gotten so much great tips and advice from this site!! :D
