David4 Posted May 16, 2008 #26 Share Posted May 16, 2008 We are on Navigator November 27. Do they start decorating for Christman the day after Thanksgiving or on the next cruise?
Cruising89143 Posted May 16, 2008 #27 Share Posted May 16, 2008 Anyone been onboard during Thanksgiving? Just curious of menus, activities, or anything special. Will be on Mariner this year during turkey day. I have been on two Thanksgiving cruises. Other than turkey being served on T-day nothing special. Lots of kids on board due to the holiday. MD VBMom Posted May 17, 2008 #28 Share Posted May 17, 2008 We are on Navigator November 27. Do they start decorating for Christman the day after Thanksgiving or on the next cruise? On our Thanksgiving (2006) Radiance cruise, there were no decorations, for Thanksgiving or the day for Christmas. I was glad about that....one holiday at a time, please! 4 cruis'n Posted May 17, 2008 #30 Share Posted May 17, 2008 We are on Navigator November 27. Do they start decorating for Christman the day after Thanksgiving or on the next cruise? Well, I can tell you that on the Mariner, no Christmas decorations were seen the entire week having Sunday departures from PC. Perhaps someone who has sailed the week after Thanksgiving can help.:)
temple1 Posted May 19, 2008 #31 Share Posted May 19, 2008 Resurrecting an old topic - to remind anyone else cruising on the Enchantment the week of Thanksgiving - there is a sad lonely Roll Call.
Nappas Posted May 19, 2008 #32 Share Posted May 19, 2008 Was on for Thanksgiving last year. On the menu was a choice of turkey. Other than that, we did not have any other sign it was Thanksgiving.
jerseygirl63 Posted May 19, 2008 #33 Share Posted May 19, 2008 We sailed last Thanksgiving on the Liberty. We spent all day In Cozumel snorkeling and beaching that we were starved when we got back on the ship. We couldn't wait for our late seating which that night was at least a half hour later because of our late departure from Coz, so we all eat in the Windjammer and had a fabulous Thanksgiving Day meal with all the trimmings and some unusual sides like sushi! The Windjammer staff was so happy to have us there since most passengers eat in the dinning rooms that night. Enjoy your trip!:)

David4 Posted May 19, 2008 #35 Share Posted May 19, 2008 On our Thanksgiving (2006) Radiance cruise, there were no decorations, for Thanksgiving or the day for Christmas. I was glad about that....one holiday at a time, please! Thanks for the info. Thanksgiving is the day we embark. Just wanted my family to see the ship decorated is all. This will be the first cruise that 99% of them have been on. There are 18 of us going.
