drcbelle Posted May 16, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 16, 2008 Hi everyone! Does anyone have a suggestion for a good restaurant in San Francisco for an anniversary dinner? We are staying in the SOMA district. It doesn't necessarily have to be super fancy, just somewhere with a good view, preferably of the water, and good food. Thanks in advance. Coreopsis Posted May 19, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 19, 2008 check out SFgate to help you narrow down - sooooo many choices. Do make your reservations well in advance using Opentable.com - great free service. My favorites for special occasion? La Folie, The Dining Room at Ritz and One Market (the latter does have view of Bridge, etc.) You can't go wrong at any of these - all are Michelin star winners. Outstanding service and food. Coreopsis Posted May 19, 2008 #4 Share Posted May 19, 2008 I second the Teatro Zinzanni recommendation. Who needs a view when you've got a show?! It is kind of Cirque du Soliel meets Beach Blanket Babylon with a lovely dinner. But . . . I wouldn't say it was a romantic, quiet dinner. I tend to do this when folks come to town for a visit - good group activity. Not sure they have tables for 2. Seating is restaurant style and you maybe placed at a larger table - fyi. If you want a great show and laughs - go for it!
