Combine beach snorkeling and dolphins

Is there a beach/snorkeling area @ the dolphin center in Tortola, as a before or after activity? If not, is there a beach in walking distance or a beach/snorkeling area near the center or dock? Does anyone know if the Carnival Miracle docks or tenders there? Trying to figure how to get more beach time on 7am - 2pm schedule. Thank you.

We just got back from this cruise on Saturday. Sadly, there are no real snorkeling beaches near the Dolphin Discovery. I suppose you could *try* - but, it would be tough to do. We had an 11:00 Dolphin time and really wanted to snorkel first - but, it just didn't seem like it would work. So, we took a taxi tour and he dropped us off at the dolphins at about 10:45. If you got RIGHT off the boat when it docked (and we docked closer to 7:30) and took a cab RIGHT to one of the beaches (without paying - don't pay till they pick you up, otherwise they might not pick you up [ours didn't]) and arranged with the cab to pick you up and take you to the dolphin discovery you might be able to get an hour in. But, the snorkeling beaches are on the other side of the island - so it would be tight.
