lisamorg Posted May 19, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2008 Has anyone found this excursion? We are interested in Old Belize with Cucumber/Pineapple beach? Have you done this? Any tips/comments? Would you recommend? We will be traveling with our 2 year old. thanks!
driftwood Posted May 21, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2008 and I think it might be ideally suited for a two-year-old and her caregivers--a fairly small historical museum and new water park, with a few birds and animals to see and not touch--but of course, bring PLENTY of sun block, and USE IT GENEROUSLY BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE SHIP, for the sun in Belize is both impressive and dangerous. I would not worry about a ship excursion to Old Belize, as it is located very near Belize City on the Northern Highway. Any taxi driver could take you there VERY reasonably, and then the only other thing you would need to pay for--except snacks and beverages--would be the admission fee, which isn't much even in American money. This is one shore excursion that is too close to the Cruiseship Terminal even to consider being "left behind!":D
