WannaCruise08 Posted May 19, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2008 My MIL is recovering from knee injuries and will most likely be using a cane on our trip. A 'slow shuffle' is a good description of her walking. We are planning to see Mendenhall Glacier for sure. I would love input about other possible excursions with this limitation. Has anyone been to Glacier Gardens? The pics look like they use extended golf carts so I thought that might be a good idea. Is that a nice excursion? Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!:)

jojamidwood Posted May 19, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 19, 2008 My Mom has limited mobilty-relies on walker and is unsteady. I booker her a shore excursion ( this one thru Princess) that includes Glacier Gardens and Mendenhall. I s/w Princess and checked out the websires--the Galcier Gardens use these golf cart tram thinggies to drive you around. In Mendenhall, there is a short walk that is handicapped accessible; the Visitor Center is handicapped accesible. We haven't done the trip yet, but it appears to be limited mobility friendly
