Transfer from Rotterdam to Amsterdam ( Schipol)

Recommended Posts

We disembark in Rotterdam at 7 a.m. July 28th from HAL's Rotterdam and have a flight from AMS on afternoon of July 29th.

What would be our best means to get to Amsterdam , time ,and approximate cost ?

We plan to travel to Amsterdam on the 28th and stay over.

If we stay in the city, what is recommended travel to Schipol Airport ?

The easiest will be to book a transfer through HAL to Schiphol airport. From there either take a cab (abt. E. 40.-) or a train to Amsterdam. With much luggage train isnot that convenient. You have to put it on/off the train yourself and space is limited.

(Or take a train from Rotterdam Centraal Station (you will have to go to the station by cab or tram again) to Amsterdam Centraal Station etc.)

Yes definitively make advance reservations for hotels. In summerseason they might be rather full.

Another option could be to stay in an airporthotel at Schiphol and travel from there to the city by the frequent trains.
