First time cruise

We are a family of 4; two boys ages 13 and 15. We are traveling on Carvinal Spirit from Vancouver to Wihittier the first week in August. Our boys are very active and want to do things like salmon fish and white water rafting. I would like some general information on things like day trips, clothes, travel transfers or anything else that a first time cruiser show do. Thanks.

I have not done Alaska yet, but hear it's awesome! While you may get some good info by asking these questions here, you will probably get much more information if you go to the Ports of Call section of the threads and look through (and post your questions) the Alaska threads.
