SewLady Posted May 21, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2008 We have been assigned C752 on the Diamond. We have been looking at the deck plan and talking to Princess. They tell us that under these cabins are air conditioning and ventilation systems. The assure us we will not get any noise or vibration, we hope they are correct on this. We would like to hear from anyone who has had these cabins who can give us some info. We probably won't be able to change the cabin however, as this cruise has been wait-listed for months. alprice Posted May 21, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2008 We were in C753 and friends had the suite next door in C755 and I dont remember hearing or feeling anything like that at all. They are great AFT cabins though!!!

Sea Fan Posted May 22, 2008 #4 Share Posted May 22, 2008 Linda, I was in C757 just a a couple of weeks ago and it was great. I love the AFT cabins, there was no vibration and sitting out watching the wake was wonderful. It's a fully covered balcony and the one you have is on the corner, it's really a very desired cabin. You lucked out, we have it on the Golden for Hawaii but had to reserve it in 2007 for a trip in 2009 to get it. Dianne
martij6 Posted May 23, 2008 #5 Share Posted May 23, 2008 We sailed in C753 on the Diamond and loved it. Very quiet room - vitually no one but the next door neighbor comes near your door. Plus the balcony is a bit larger than the regular "C" Deck balconies. We had the tail end of Hurricane George pass thru Mazatlan while we were docked. We sailed a few hours later and didn't think the wave action was bad at all. Have a great trip!

We are on the Diamond next April from Bangkok to Vancouver, and wondered if we had made a mistake. We had been wait listed for anything above obstructed view cabins. We were upgraded to a balcony which we accepted, then to a mini which we accepted. Then DH (who watches the website every day) saw C752 become available on Tuesday. We called the T/A who got it for us. We were amazed. Then we got cold feet, when Princess told us that the a/c and fans were underneath. They said it should not be noisy and we should not get any vibrations, but after our November experience on the Royal (on a Transatlantic cruise) we decided we had better check it out. On the Royal the noise and vibration was really bad when the ship got above 16 knots. We could not sleep in the cabin. Thanks for your info. We are greatly relieved.
