Don't get mad at RCI. Far too many pax were using the ship as their personal bank. Many of them came back to this site and bragged about taking their $2000 max out each day, on their seapass, just to rack up RCI points. They saved the cash and would then pay off the BOA credit card after returning home. Thank them.:)

Andy, if Celebrity started charging a 3% service charge for cash advantages at the casino, effective April 1st, the word never made it to the casino staff in the Century's casino, where I took a cash advance on my seapass card in April and no fee was charged. RCI never instituted such a fee only to recall it later, and based on my personal experience, Celebrity was not charging any such fee as late as April 5th. It is interesting to see how rumors develop and evolve but it is also a bit disheartening how much erroneous information can be spread on these boards.:rolleyes:

 

Actually there is truth to the rumors. Celebrity Century was charging 3% on the recent Transatalntic Cruise (April 28th-May12th). Perhaps they just waited to finish their Caribbean cruise season before implementing this fee. I did not use the casino much becuase of this charge as I had not brought a lot of cash with me and did not want to spot the casino 3%.
