ATV Tour to Mayan Ruins

Hello,

I got back from NCL Sea cruise on Saturday, October 2. While on Cozumel we did the ATV Tour to the Mayan Ruins. This was a LOT of fun, but beware...the ruins are more like a mound of rocks in the middle of the forest. Some people were disappointed thinking that they were going to visit actual pyramids or what not. The tour is great for the adventurous type that wants to spend a couple of hours riding some ATVs at high speed through the forest. It's fun, you get dirty and sometimes you think you're going to die...lol! The forest was fun and we got to see a turtle and a snake. The tour guides were wonderful. One lady simply didn't feel comfortable riding her own ATV (they're semi-automatic...no clutch, but you do have to shift), so she rode with one of the guides in a bigger vehicle. We took the tour around 2:00 p.m., so we spend the morning walking/shopping in Cozumel. Anyway, I higly recommend if you're looking for an adventure type tour, but don't go expecting to see wonderful ruins.
