Hotel San Juan

Going on the Carribbean Princess out of San Juan on Nov 9. Would like a hotel that doenst charge an arm and leg to stay for 4 adults. Taking Inlaws and $ is a contributing factor. Only time I have been to San Juan was when we went out of there on Carnival Destiny but flew in same day and had transfers to the ship, so I know nothing about SJ. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. How safe is the cabs, any places not to stay.

Check out the holiday Inn in Isla Verde - probably be one of the cheaper $.

 

It gets decent reveiws froim I can tell of people that have stayed there.

 

If you are sailing from the Old san Juan pier the nearest will be the Sheraton - but any hotel in Condado / Isla Verde will just be a taxi ride away

 

Note: taxi rates are fixed in the tourist zone based on starting and ending points
