Question on Glory room?

I've got 2 balcony rooms booked on Glory on the Panorama deck in August. It will be my first time cruising and I was hoping for some input on this deck and possibly type of balcony room along with what I can expect in terms of views and if the front of the ship is "smooth" in terms of sea sickness?

We were in cabin 1065 on the Glory. Had no trouble with motion on that trip. Remember it depends on the weather so, if you have rough weather, you will have a little extra motion. As for location, I dont think you could have picked a better deck. Its very quiet up there. Easy access to lido deck, walk to the elevators and there is a door that leads outside, a few small steps and boom, LIDO deck.

The room will have a little extra room as there is a couch that turns into a bed. Plenty of spots to put your luggage.

Great views!!!

Hope this helps.

We were in 1063 on Glory last September. We absolutely love the Panarama Deck! We're actually going back on Glory again this September in the same room! The location is great for quick access to the pool deck. We were about 10 steps from the elevators too!

One thing you should know. If you're dining in the Emerald dining room, you cannot go stright to it's floor and walk straight back to the dining room. You have to go to deck 4, I think (the one where the main mall and casino area is) and walk back and take the stairs down to the dining room. Once you do it you'll have it figured out for the other days. It's no big deal but wanted to alert you in advance!

Have fun! :)

I will also add love for this deck, me and the DW were in 1031 and it turns out our table mates were in 1029 and all of us really loved this deck.

That being said there is one oddity that I noticed about this deck and that is the elevator notice for the deck. Each floor gets the name said as the doors open and even though I got on and off that eleveator many times that week I am still not 100% sure what the lady was saying, it almost sounded like she started to say Promande but switched at the last second to Panarama so the two words meshed together a little. We found it very funny and now every time we hear the word Panorama we giggle about it and try to pronounce it like she did. Not any reason to avoid a great deck but very funny overall.

Hey Cigar Dude!

Now I know which cabin door to knock on when I look you up and treat you to the drink I promised you when I lost the "bet"!

LOL! Yep, that's us! Come on over!

Look forward to meeting you on the ship! :)

Hi Kristen,

I keep seeing your signature about your husband being stateside now after his tour in Iraq. I have meant to ask you to thank him for his service.

I am just outside of Quantico MCB, at the Dumfries-Triangle Rescue Squad. Our Chief is a retired "jar head" as are some of our members of the squad.

Welcome home Marine & God Bless You.

We're on the Panorama deck on Glory in January - in large part because of positive things I've read before on CC. I've been trying to find out if there is internet (wireless) access there and keep getting conflicting answers. I know the suites have wireless access, and I know there is an internet cafe. Do any of you who have been on that deck know if there is wireless access there or where a close hot spot might be? Thanks.

Actually you can get to the Emerald Room from where you are at. Walk out the door and go up a small ( like 3 or 4 ) set of steps. then head to the back of the ship. You will see a wind screen in front of a set of doors. Go in those doors and there you are, the Emerald Room. Basically, when you walk out the door, look across the pool area and you will see the wind screen. You can figure out how to get there.

Now, if you are assigned the Platinum room for dinner. You cant get there from ANYWHERE! I hate that room, get switched to the Golden if you can. Much easier to get to.

Hey Cigar Dude,

How's the gym on Glory? I ask because judging from your pic you enjoy moving iron as well. We'll be on it next week!

Anyone experienced the family ocean view cabins on the spa deck? That's where we'll be :)

Not bad at all, actually. Expect a lot of machines but they're very good. There's a machine for chest, shoulders, biceps, triceps, etc. There are a fair amount of dumbells and pully/lat machines. I found it to be very adequate for a good workout while on vacation. I used it 2 or 3 days of our 7 day cruise. There are also several treadmills and that sort of thing. You should find everything you need.
