Continental Menu night on Golden?

Can anyone tell me if the Continental menu is always on Day 3?

I saw some menus linked here that noted it was on Day 3 (they were from a year ago & in Mexico). I'll be aboard next week & love escargot - but day 3 is also Juneau & we don't depart until 10pm so I'm not sure we'll be back in time for our traditional late seating dinner. Oh the turmoil... ;)

Menus change depending on the itinerary and so might the night. You can always get on the ship for dinner and then get off again until time to board for sailing.

One thing, the new Head Chef on board Golden Princess has got things really under control - the food was some of the best I've had on Princess ships - check the menu before you leave the ship and if you like it don't miss out. Juneau is a small town, you can see a lot of it and still be back on the ship early.

Thanks, in that case I'll ask our waiter on the first night!

We get in at noon & have an excursion from 2 until after 6, then I was hoping to explore the town for a couple of hours & visit a local pub. So wasn't sure if I'll be able to make our 8pm seating that day, as we usually need about an hour to get ready for dinner & dinner itself usually takes 1-2 hours as well.

If nothing else, perhaps I should give up our traditional dining & try the anytime dining. Do you know how late they seat people in anytime? I believe the dining room is open until 10, but how late can you go & still be seated?

I’m a fan of Traditional and I see more complaints about Anytime Dining on these boards, so I wouldn’t give it up. Check with your waiter and plan as you see fit. They probably won’t be able to bring you something from the Juneau menu on another night, but you could always ask the Head Waiter and see if it works (and tip him if it does). But I personally wouldn’t give up the whole Traditional experience just for a menu item or two that night.

I've heard they seat people as late as 9:30 in Anytime, but that may vary depending on the ship and itinerary.

You could always grab dinner in Juneau - and don’t forget to check out the Red Dog Saloon.
