Celebrity Golf Program

After many years of telling my husband how wonderful cruising is ( especially Celebrity), he has finally agreed to try it.

We are going in February on the Millennium.

My husband is an avid golfer, and I'm sure he would enjoy playing golf while we're in port. Has anyone used the Celebrity Golf Program, or booked their own transportation and golf courses? Any input would be most appreciated.

This has been a hard sell, and I want him to enjoy it to the max. Maybe he'll get addicted like the rest of us.

I was unable to get my husband to cruise until I suggested we take his parents on one for thier 50th anniversary. Royal Caribbean had a "Golf Ahoy" program at the time and on one ship he and his dad could golf in every port. Now I can't get him to take another kind of vacation. And he has not taken his golf clubs again. That was 12 years ago.
