Help between 2 excursions in Sitka

Has anyone done the Captain's Choice Wildlife Quest and Beach Walk? I've seen a lot of people talk about the Sea Otter quest and I definitely want to see the otters, however I really want a tad bit more adventure and the beach walk sounds like fun. We're going to go through Carnival (I know, I know it's cheaper if we do it on our own. I'm just going through them for the convenience and I'm just too lazy to do it on my own). Has anyone done the beach walk before? Did you see otters?:)

DH and I did this excursion in 2006 and I enjoyed it. We did not see otters, but we save lots of other wildlife...including whales...one really close to the boat. The beach walk was nice, and you had time to enjoy the scenery. There was a naturalist onboard and she ponted out lots of interesting birds and such that I wouldn't have seen without her.
