Athens - taxi cost

Recently read that the metro will be worked on July 1. Anyone have a recent experience with a taxi from Athens airport to hotel in Plaka? Thanks.

It is 25-35 euro and took us about 45 minutes on a Tuesday morning.

Will be completing our cruise in Athens. Best way to get from cruise terminal to airport. How far is it and how long should it take and ~ how much?Any recommendations on hireing a private taxi?

Good Luck! 6 of us were there in Sept. had a lovely hotel but needed to take taxi often- they totaly ignored us. Here is a hint we didn't find out until too late- order a cab from any hotel. a must to do is restaurant on top of hill? can't remember name- fabulous views and lovely chapel nice for dinner or drinks but- order a cab for return or pay$$$$$ have fun.
