SanNic44 Posted June 5, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 5, 2008 There are all kinds of shopping opportunities in Aruba. Do you like high end goods? If so, there are the Salvatore Ferragamo, the Mont Blanc, Tommy, and many other luxury brands with their own boutiques within a short walk from the ship. There are also stores selling Dutch lace, local crafts, Cuban cigars and so forth. There is also a new mall with typical "American" shopping mall type stores for sneakers, clothing and so forth. Forgot to mention there are plenty of jewelry stores of all price ranges as well as those selling watches. Something for everyone.

SanNic44 Posted June 6, 2008 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2008 Latimer, The dollar is fixed to the florin in Aruba at 1.75 florins per dollar. I don't know about the high-end stores, but there are many good values in Aruba, especially for those with pounds and euros. Real estate is an especially good value, even given the recent increases in prices, for anyone from Europe. Given all the island has to offer, you can't beat it as location for a second home.
