San Juan Airport Check-in Information Needed

We will be flying into/out of the San Juan airport for our July cruise on the Destiny and need some help! It is our understanding (through these boards) that US Air does not participate in the Express Luggage service. We have also learned that the SJ airport can be a zoo on cruise departure days and the lines unbearably long. We are considering on-line check-in from the ship to avoid those long lines but are not sure if US Air has check-in kiosks to drop off our luggage at that particular airport. Would we still have to stand in the traditional check-in line regardless? Thanks in advance!

I didn't print out my tickets from the ship. We walked in and used the kiosh and it printed out our tickets to a lady behind it. The lines were very long, but when the tickets printed out, she called our name and it took no time at all. Very easy. I was amazed. Save your money, the internet is very slow on the ship and not worth it.

Louise, thanks so much for your reply. Was your checked luggage taken by the lady at the kiosk, or did you still have to proceed on to the US Air counter with it? I haven't flown commercially in 25 years and technology has changed so much! I'm also flying with my sweet 83 mothe, and I need a good feel as to what to expect at the airport. Catching a flight out on Monday was not an option for us, so I'm a bit nervous about the "airport experience" on such a crowded day!

The lady at the kiosh took it. It was easy. Everyone else was waiting in very long twisting lines! A friend of mine told me that was what she always done, it saves alot of time. We just made sure she put the right tags on our lugguage and then we were off to the security line, you'll love it.
