Splendour 4/8-4/12...Questions

Recommended Posts

I have lots of questions before we board Thursday.

1. We have pre-paid our tips, will our waiters know this and not be expecting tips from us for everything?

2. What is the attire for evening dinner (khaki shorts/nice shirt; khaki slacks/nice shirt; jeans/nice shirt)?

3. What is the attire for breakfast and lunch (khaki shorts/nice shirt)?

4. What is the attire for dinner with the captain (khaki slacks/nice shirt; slack/nice shirt/tie)?

5. Can beer be snuck onto the ship?

6. When we get to Cozumel, is the main stuff withing walking distance from the pier? We're looking to go to Paradise Beach and then do some shopping around or near Senor Frogs and Carlos n Charlies.

7. Can we get pre-paid alcohol cards like they have for sodas?

8. What all is there to do besides gambling and being by the pool? Are the rock wall and mini-golf free?

Sorry, we're all first time cruisers. I may think of more later.

Thanks

1. If you prepaid your tips, you should get vouchers to personally give to the staff.

2. Dinner attire will be different on different days. Check your Compass for details. Shorts are not allowed in Dining room, nor jeans.

3. Dinner/breakfast you can wear what you like, just no swimsuits.

4. Dinner with the Captain-again will depend on the night. If it's formal, then formal wear is appropriate. IF smart-casual then khaki's and collared shirt would work.

5. You can sneak beer in your checked luggage.

6. You'll probably need a cab in Cozumel.

7. No longer offer prepaid alcohol cards. However, you can buy a bucket of beer (pay for 5 get 6) and there are some wine packages that give you x number of bottles.

8. Rock climbing, etc at no charge. There will also be various activities (wine tasting-usually a charge for this one unless C&A member with coupon, napkin folding, dance class, cooking demonstration) through out the day, you'll get a Compass everyday that will outline the next days activities. Take a highlighter with you, makes it easier to identify what you're interested in doing. There is also the casino, shopping ,etc.

Enjoy!
