I am cruising on the Gem in July. Can anyone please list the restaurant names, what decks they are located on and if there is a surcharge or not?

 

Also...is there a charge to work out in the heath club?

 

Also...is there a charge for the teen game room? (video games, etc...)

Here's how the dining venues on the Gem break down (prices valid as of March 2008):

Included, no reservations required

Main Dining Rooms - Grand Pacific & Magenta - both on Deck 6

Garden Cafe Buffet - Deck 12

The Great Outdoors Buffet - Deck 12

Topsiders Bar & Grill - Deck 12

Bali Hai Grill - Deck 13

Blue Lagoon - 24/7 eatery - Deck 8

Ondeck BBQs

Late night snacks served in the casino - Deck 6

Room service - 24/7

 

Specialty Restaurant - included, reservations required

Tequila - Tex-Mex - Deck 8

 

Specialty Restaurants - surcharge, reservations required

Orchid Garden - 3 eateries in 1 - Asian fusion restaurant ($15) / sushi ($20) / Teppanyaki ($25) - Deck 7

Cagney's Steakhouse - $25 - Deck 13

Le Bistro - French - $20 - Deck 6

La Cucina - Italian - $10 - Deck 12

They offered 2-for-1 deals for reservations at 9 pm or later. This was back in March; not sure if it's still the same.

 

No charge to work out in the gym, but there are charges for some classes (yoga, pilates, etc.).

 

I'm pretty sure the video games cost but not sure how much.

In April they offered 2 for 1 specials between 5:30-6:30.

Are children allowed in the specialty restaurants? do they pay the same rate? I have two 4 year olds.

If the kids order off the Kids Menu, they will not be charged. If they order off the Surcharge Restaurant's menu, they will.
