Port of Miami question

Hi,

 

Does anyone know of a rental car company that operates put of the port of Miami?We were hoping to rent a car at the port after we disembark from our cruise.

 

Also, does anyone have any recommmendations on hotels in Miami or Ft.Lauderdale.We were hoping to sit around the beach for a day.

From what I've been able to determine, the major agencies operate shuttles back and forth to Miami airport. None of them have cars at the port.

The above poster is right, no more car rental agencies directly on the port property, all operate shuttles either to the airport or to downtown locations.

 

You might try this beach club - A bunch of funky hotels in SoBe use this club for their guests:

In Fort Lauderdale, if you book a spa appointment at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort you get free use of the grounds for the day and the private spa pool area.

 

Also, you might want to check with the Lago Mar Resort in Fort Lauderdale for day rooms, nice place.

There are a bunch of hotels on SOBE. Not sure which ones allow day passes though:

Eden Rock

Marrott Beach - 2nd and Collins. Prob best bet
