Can we bring wine, soda, and water onboard

Priincess has the same rule for liquor. Wine is different

Answer: We kindly request that you do not bring alcoholic beverages (other than wine and/or champagne) onboard for consumption. Alcoholic beverages that are purchased duty free from the ship's gift shop or at ports of call will be collected for safekeeping and delivered to your stateroom on the last day of the voyage. A member of our Security Staff will be at the gangway to assist with the storage of your alcoholic beverage purchases.

Looks like you were lucky on Princess.

Just don't be suprised if you get caught on NCL of you choose not to follow their rules. They have a reputation of being strict in their liquor policies.

Princess actually is supposed to only allow one bottle of wine or champagne per person. You can walk up with it right in your hand (as we did) and no one with bother you. We only drank a glass or so a night while getting ready for dinner. We still purchased wine at dinner and at the wine bar. Actually we only drank one bottle (not even) that we brought and left the other for our room steward (they can usually trade them for something they want if they don't drink it themselves).

Every line has it's own rules though and when you book with them you are agreeing to abide by their rules. If you want to try and break the rules go ahead just don't complain if you are caught.

We just got off the Majesty and the cheapest chardonay on the wine list was $32. We were able to drink exactly what we wanted for a lot less than we would have paid to try a wine on board. That being said, we still had quite a big bar tab so NCL is still making money off of us:D

I won't complain at all if I get caught. I look at it this way, I try and if I succeed, I saved myself the corkage fees. If I get caught, I pay them.

And ultimately, as always, the more honest people will pay the price down the road in higher fares. I still cringe when I hear cheating rationalised so enthusiastically.
