Bus to snorkeling sites?

We usually prefer to use local transport whenever feasible in our travels, as we feel it's more fun and adventurous! Does anyone know if one can use the bus to get to the best snorkeling sites, such as the Tugboat or Blue room? Not familiar with the layout yet, so any advice appreciated!

We call the use of the locals buses, our local color tours.

I'd like to know about the feasiblity of getting out to Kon Tiki and back to the pier on a local bus?

The local bus does go to the KonTiki but don't forget that both the tugboat snorkeling and the Kontiki are on the other side of the swinging bridge. Most of the cruises dock on the Otrabanda side of the swinging bridge (pedestrian only) and these two places are on the Punda side. I would recommend catching the bus at the Punda bus terminal for these two locations.

There are bus terminals on both Otrabanda and Punda sides.

(The tugboat place is on the Caracasbaai bus route. Not sure though if the local buses actually go through the gates and into the actual park area... or if they just drop you off at the gate. Things have changed a lot there in the last 2 years because of major development in that area)
