Beach / snorkeling questions

First time cruiser question ~ my DH and I would like to snorkel on our own when we arrive in George Town in July. Ideally, we'd like a beach where we could rent chairs, possibly have lunch and do an hour or two worth of snorkeling right off the beach with our own equipment. Which beach would be best for everything?

ok, this is what i am always looking for as well..we have done the stingrays several times, this last time we took a bus to sea grape beach..it was pretty, but no snorkeling. cemetry beach b4 sea grape is supposed to be good, but no bathrooms, drinks..nothing...i understand smiths cove is good, but i do not know what is there. rum point take a rental car and quite a while to drive as the brits do..on the left side..yikes! eden rock beach is right off the ship, not much of a beach, but snorkeling is good, strong current when i was there..but i did enjoy it.
