imosoreal Posted April 7, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2004 Just watched the news. Looks like you're getting really bad weather down there. Take care and be safe. B J Posted April 7, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 7, 2004 I'm about in the middle of Texas(65 miles NW of Austin) and our weather is not doing anything. I just came inside and there are plenty of stars out tonight. No weather alerts on the TV either. Thanks for being concerned. dana77389 Posted April 7, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 7, 2004 I work in the Williams Tower next to the Galleria in Houston. It got pretty wicked around noon...but things looked much better by time I drove home. MRIrene Posted April 7, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2004 My family lives in far West Texas. They have had a really bad last few days. The interstate bridges washed out, some houses were flooded. It is so flat, there is no where for the water to run. They don't need any more. Sophie Posted April 7, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 7, 2004 It hit here around 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Couldn't see driving home. We have kids in Austin that said it came through there about 7:30 yesterday morning. It was bad. Good day to stay home and sleep or catch up on reading CC! imosoreal Posted April 7, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted April 7, 2004 I'm just glad everyone is fine. The way they showed it on the news last night looked like you guys were taking a terrible pounding with houses being torn up and trees falling down. I'm glad it's not as bad as it looked.
