12 day cruise - Italy - May 2009 - disappeared????

We were looking into the 12-day cruise that left Rome next July - and now it is gone - does any-one know what happened????

Carnival is pulling Carnival Freedom out of the Med in 2009.

The Carnival Liberty is still sailing the Mediterranean in 2009 with the same itinerary as the planned by the Freedom. So, all is not lost - we had to switch to the Liberty when the Freedom was canceled but the date changed by only one day with the same itinerary.

I was told by my Carnival PVP if I wanted to book the Med in the summer The Carnival Liberty will be there in the summer of 2010

I feel your pain. I think Carnival has the best ports in the Med

The Liberty is NOT taking over all of Freedom's routes. In May when the OP is sailing, the Liberty is still going to be sailing Baltic cruises out of Dover, England.

we were going on the freedom but now are trying to decide between the noordam, solstice, crown princess, and Costa.

We were booked on the Freedom May 9, 2009 but it was cancelled as we were told by Carnival. We have now switched to the Northern European for May of 2009 but a little confused as to how velvetred is booked for May 2009 still?? Carnival made no mention of that nor is anything up on the site for summer of 09?? :confused:

Veletred never said she was sailing in May 09. Liberty always planned to do several Med cruises in Sept-Nov of 09, that hasnt changed.

Splendor will be home ported in Los Angeles (Long Beach) replacing the Pride I believe.
