which place to snorkel belize or costa rica?

Hi, I am going on a cruise in February and want to go snorkeling, but my family would prefer to do something else. I may still go, but have to chose where to snorkel at. Which place has better snorkeling...belize, costa rica, or are they similar?

I have not been to Costa Rica but did have a wonderful snorkel in Belize. I found a guy to take our group of 10 on excursion to Goffs Caye. It was wonderful. The spot of land is small with a small ourdoor air cook who is selling grilled chicken. Bottles of beer and water.

The reef is right off the island so you can walk right in to snorkel but we used our guide with the boat...

I think we paid $65. ish...
