Any difference on Dawn 2.0

Recommended Posts

As soon as you set foot on the ship, you will be greeted with a flute of champagne. Your very first night sleep, you will notice you are off to dreamland as soon as your head hits the pillow. The new bedding is delicious.

Those are just two of the many upgrades you will notice are different. Have a great cruise.

We were given a choice of champagne or OJ when we arrived on board.

Kids camp is now open all day, not just alloted times.

Bedding was new, beds were not (in our mini) Our bed had huge body impressions in them and a big bump in the middle.

New pillows.

Room service was updated to reflect 2.0

Food was superior than in the past.

Lobster night was 2 nights on the ship

NO cookies on last night

Fruit menu was given but fruit never replenished

New menu's at specialty restaurants

Upgraded soaps and shampoo were in our room

Overall, except for the mattresses and no cookies 2.0 was pretty much in place on the 6/8 cruise

Not only that, but you'll see up-graded deck furniture (beautiful, I might add). Also, they've toned down the noise level by the pool. No more pool games (too many complaints of noise). And, the live music by the pool is not as loud. Much more relaxing, IMHO. Also, all new menus in the main dining rooms (very delicious as usual). Up-graded robes in the suites (so comfy I wanted to stay in it all day!!!). I believe robes are available to all passengers now (not sure, though). We received a personal escort to our cabin (surprisingly it was ready when we boarded at 11:30).

I'll be posting my review later today or tomorrow. We just got back from the Dawn on Sunday. One word: AWESOME!!!! It could NOT have been better.

Has the buffet changed?

The buffet on the Gem was fantastic and I never eat in the buffet!

Don

Don,

The buffet was similiar to the Gem, except the layout was different. I liked the layout and the dessert area on the Gem better. I found the Dawn's layout to be a bit confusing. Never knew what side was open.

They did have the actions stations in April. (Food made to order)

I agree with the bedding on the Dawn. The bedding was better than any 5 star hotel we have stayed in the past. The pillow menu is great.

Just be careful. The first day, we missed breakfast and slept to 11. We NEVER DO THAT!
