gmatthew Posted October 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2004 We are travelling from Scotland on 31st December, and have two kids(20 and 15). Sailing on Norwegian Sun(Western Caribbean). Anyone know if the shore excursions are available at the dock area or is it better to book through NCL.:)
ColoradoLad Posted October 13, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2004 Greetings to the board. Depends: Booking via the NCL site allows confirmation and some guarrantes as to such as weather. Searching each "port" on this board allows one to get "reviews" of both NCL tours and independent excursions. One can also use Yahoo or Google searches. Best of luck! Colorado rather a long drive from Scotland to Florida? PS my folks came from Wales
brimicombe Posted October 13, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 13, 2004 Welcome Yes, excursions are found at almost every port. We never book through the cruiseline as they are much more expensive and you are herded i nto huge buses. You can negotiate your own at the pier and have more individual attention when there are only 4 of you. If you need any more information on specific ports e-mail me at sagamble11@comcast.net. Sally
