plan2go Posted June 17, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 17, 2008 When you go with one of the sunrise tours (Roberts or NCL) and you leave at 3:30 am - do you just see the sunrise at the summit or do you see more of Haleakala - any of the Lookout's on the way back down? If this is all we see of Haleakala will that be enough? I read that one tour driver took the group to Ho'okipa - why would they do that, instead of other sites within Haleakala National Park? How does the timing work - 3:30-5:30 drive to summit from cruise port 5:30-5:50 find place to view sunrise 5:50 (ish)-6:15 view sunrise 6:30-8:30 return to ship Is that an approximate time line or am I missing something?
