300EXPRESS Posted June 20, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2008 Looking forward to our first cruise with the kids on Freedom. Can't seem to find many pictures - anyone have pictures, good tips, which dining room is better? Anything we should avoid? Or anything we should request....all in all, any tips for this ship would be awesome!!!
Wennfred Posted June 20, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2008 Looking forward to our first cruise with the kids on Freedom. Can't seem to find many pictures - anyone have pictures, good tips, which dining room is better? Anything we should avoid? Or anything we should request....all in all, any tips for this ship would be awesome!!! The only thing that comes to mind which will make you a god and the kids will love you for it, one night while watching a great movie in your cabin with the kids, order up room service, order all of the items you think they would like, like the P&J sandwich, chocolate cake and cookies etc. The Room Service menu is in the green info book. If the copy is gone, just ask the purser for a copy. Room Service is free, just a 2 dollar tip will do depending on how much food you get. At night, average wait is around 30 minutes. ladybug97 Posted June 20, 2008 #4 Share Posted June 20, 2008 There is a Seaside Theatre on the Freedom and it's great for a night of lounging! They played, what I would say were a good selection of movies on our trip. To make it seem more like a movie they also have blankets and popcorn available. You have to have your Sail & Sign to get the blankets and the popcorn was $1.00 but it was well worth it!! We have been in the Chich and Posh dining rooms and we enjoyed the Posh! No major reasons...we just did. We had an EXCELLENT matire'd by the name of Mr. Dino of whom we enjoyed nightly! Also there is a miniture golf course and basketball court side by side. Have a great trip!! :D

AnniversaryFun Posted June 21, 2008 #6 Share Posted June 21, 2008 Here are the things our daughter liked- Breakfast in bed - either room service, or someone makes a run to the buffet. Anything camp carnival Build a bear Mini golf (enter thru the basketball court) Hot tubs (not too hot) Glass elevators Standing on one of the decks forward on the boat (go thru the door and the front of your deck - we were on 10) Staying up late Water slide Funship Freddy Nightly shows Not eating with her parents (they could eat with camp carnival at the buffet restaurant) Towel animals and chocolate mints on the pillows Afternoon tea I'm sure there were more things, but it is saturday morning cartoons and she is ignoring me! Kids will have a great time, although on the europe cruises there tend not to be many kids (although we sailed when school was still in) Enjoy
