dgund Posted April 7, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2004 I am trying to book the Blackbeard's Cay beach break in Nassau online with RCCL. It says "available on ship" and "try on board". Does this mean that the tour is totally booked or do they save additional spots for onboard booking? All other tours seem to be available. Can you book this tour on your own? Has anyone done this excursion? Any information would be appreciated.
kbt2 Posted April 7, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 7, 2004 Not sure about that one. Never ran into that before. There might be a limited number of spots they take online as to save some for passengers who do not have or know about reserving online excursions. Hope you get it once you board. betsycam71 Posted April 7, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 7, 2004 I'm getting the same message when trying to book for our December cruise. I have called RCCL and they said we should be able to book, but to try later. I just emailed RCCL yesterday asking for help with it. ¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,¤ø,¸¸, Admiral Cruises - Emerald Seas, March 1991 Carnival Paradise, November 1999 RCCL - Enchantment of the Seas, December 6, 2004 Days to our cruise! elliemaej Posted April 7, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2004 I was told by RCL that they only sell a certain number of spots via the internet. They said that because not all of their passengers have access to the internet, they leave a certain percentage open to be booked once you are on the ship. betsycam71 Posted April 7, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 7, 2004 A friend of mine received an email from RCCL after asking why we couldn't book our excursions yet. It looks like we can book in August. This is what they said: Kindly note that, the tours and pricing for the Caribbean are seasonal - and operate as winter to summer. Brochures for winter 2004 - summer 2005 sailings are not available. However, most guests prefer to have something rather than nothing at all to reference as a guide. The shore excursions are shown online through the "BROWSE OPTION". The guest may review our winter 2003 - summer 2004 Caribbean information, which became effective as of October 1, 2003 and expires on September 30th, 2004. We update a few months prior and operate tours and prices effective as of October 1st. The guest will have the opportunity to pre-book tours through the online "PURCHASE OPTION" on the website with current pricing sometime around the first or second week of August. Please try back then. ¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,¤ø,¸¸, Admiral Cruises - Emerald Seas, March 1991 Carnival Paradise, November 1999 RCCL - Enchantment of the Seas, December 6, 2004 Days to our cruise! pbillington Posted April 8, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 8, 2004 We are stopping in Nassau on the May 15, 2004 cruise and I was unable to book any excursions for Nassau because the website has not been updated yet from Haiti. I email RCI and they told me that the Nassau tours would have to be booked on the ship. I am going to keep checking back and maybe they will update it and I can still book it on-line.
