Any fees for drop off in New York pier

My friend is dropping us off at New York pier this saturday. Is there any fees to enter the pier to drop us off? He will not be parking. He will just drop us off and go back. If there is a fee for that, how much is it?

There's no fee, but here's a tip.

 

If you're headed uptown on 12th ave, get out of the car across from the pier and cross the street over to the ship. You'll easily save 1/2 hour if not more. Traffic can be horrendous espcieally of here's mroe than 1 ship in port.
